Brian Westbrook

This guy is great, plain and simple. He is one of the best running backs in the league. Because he is agile, able to make most guys miss the first time, fast enough to lose anyone in the open field, has hands like a wide reciever and is an all around team player. He had his best season of his NFL career last year, with a total of 2,183 total yards under his belt. A third of those yards are just from recieving alone!
Not only that, he has been in the Pro Bowl twice out of his seven year career. He wasn't drafted as a starter, he sat behind Duce Staley, and Correll Buckhalter. When Duce left, and Buckhalter was injured is when he got his chance to shine. Quickly fitting into the offense and becoming the top performer, scoring the most touchdowns on the team for multiple years.
Hes not fumble prone, or injured often. Solid player, with above avergae results every time he plays. One.

Donovan Mcnabb

This guy had proven he is the truth over his career. Donovan Mcnabb has been in the NFL since 1999, has thrown over 170 touchdowns and has a career passer rating of 85.8. When he first entered the league he was a very mobile quarterback, similar to Michael Vick, but more accurate and has a stronger arm. He has been

In recent years Donovan has had a number of injuries including a sports hernia, fractured ankle and a torn ACL. These injuries have really had a major impact on the team's success, as well as the whole T.O. debacle causing turbulence among the ranks of the once dominant Eagles franchise.

I hope to see Donovan getting more snaps this year, staying healthy and putting a Superbowl ring on in 2008. If you are a fan of the quarterbacks of the great game of football, you can't go without mentioning Mcnabb as one of the greats. One piece of info I'll leave for you. When did Mcnabb throw his first TD in the NFL? He fired the first TD pass of his career (a 6 ydr. to TE Chad Lewis) vs. Ind. (11/21/99). Amen.

The Team

The eagles franchise has been one of the powerhouses in the NFL for a long time. For example, heres a list of the years they made it to the playoffs: 1947, 1948, 1949, 1960, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1988, 1989, 1992, 1995, 1996, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006...Pretty impressive right? With one of the premier coaches in the NFL at the helm (Andy Reid) these guys have been all but Superbowl champions in the last 48 years. Not because the team isn't talented enough, they just have a hard time staying 100% healthy. Which in my opinion is a shame, because these guys play every down as hard as anyone else out there. I will go into more depth about key players in my next installment as well as coach Reid and whatever else I can think of.
